New Delhi: Actress Rashmika Mandana was recently in London for the ‘We the Woman’ festival organized by Barkha Dutt, where she spoke openly about her career, options and challenges faced by women in the film industry. Speaking as a guest, the actress spoke on everything from her controversial role in ‘Animal’ to an artist as an artist.
Rashika Mandana’s response to Animal
When asked about the different reactions received about her Bollywood film ‘Animal’, Rashmika said, ‘I saw the film as a film. For example, when a hero is smoking in the film and people also smoke every day, if you say that the hero is having an effect on them, when a hero does not smoke on the screen, it is not necessary that people do not smoke. I see the film as it is, and I do not see it to be impressed in any way. Ranbir Kapoor’s lead role, the film gave rise to discussions around gender roles and depiction of violence.
He also considered the challenges of his journey in the film industry so far, especially maintaining success. He said, ‘I think it has been the most difficult to maintain success. For men, I think it is about success and for women, I believe that we achieve it but maintaining that success is the real fight. ‘
Rashmika’s upcoming project
On Friday, Rashika released the first poster of her new film ‘Mysa’. Directed by Ravindra Pulle and produced by unforgiving Films, the film is completely different from his previous roles. Calling it a world in which he never stepped and a version of himself from which he had not yet found it. Further, Rashmika has many films like ‘Thama’ with Ayushmann Khurrana, and ‘The Girlfriend’, ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Pushpa 3’. He was recently seen in Dhanush’s ‘Kubera’, which is still running in theaters. However, her previous Hindi release ‘Sikander’ could not do anything special at the box office.
