Yash Chopra’s Blossckbuster Movie: Yash Chopra may not be among us now, but there are many Bollywood films made under his direction for which people still remember him. One of these films is ‘Veer Jara’, which became the highest -grossing film of 2004. Significantly, from this film, Yash made a comeback in direction after a long gap of seven years.

New Delhi. Yash Raj Chopra was not only a film director, but also a filmmaker. Under his film production and distribution company Yash Raj Films, he made several blockbuster romantic films, which were at the box office as soon as it was released. One of them was ‘Veer Zara’.

‘Veer Jara’ was released in 2004, which was a romantic film. It played Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in the role of two loving couples. Veer Pratap Singh is an Indian Air Force officer and Zara Hayat Khan is the daughter of a Pakistani politician.

Veer is jailed in false charges and after 22 years, a young Pakistani lawyer named Samiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukherjee) fights his case. The film featured Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Divya Dutta, Manoj Vajpayee, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher and Kiran Kher in supporting roles.

As soon as it was released, the film proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. The audience liked this film very much and this was also the reason that it emerged as the highest grossing film of 2004.

According to Wikipedia, Yash Chopra returned to the film industry as a director after a 7 -year gap. Actually, after his film ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ in 1997, he was not able to be satisfied with any script.

Meanwhile, his son Aditya Chopra narrated some scenes of a story written by him to Yash, which attracted Yash Chopra and raised his interest to direct it. Let me tell you, earlier the name of ‘Veer Jara’ was ‘Yeh Kahan Aaye Hum’, which was changed before release.

Let me tell you, on 13 October 2012, Yash Chopra came to know about dengue fever and was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai. On October 21, Yash Chopra died after stopping working for several organs.

Yash was 80 years old when he died. Yash Chopra’s funeral was held on 22 October 2012 at Pawan Hans crematorium. His last film was also ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and it also proved to be a blockbuster.
