New Delhi: Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was questioned by the Kochi police for about 4 hours. Then he detained them. The arrest occurred a few days after the incident when the actor tried to escape from a hotel in Kochi during an anti-Narcotics operation. Police said Shine Tom Chacko has registered a case under Section 27 and 29 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act, which is related to drug consumption and criminal conspiracy. Now the actor will have a medical examination and other legal action will be taken. Significantly, two days before the arrest of Shine Tom Chacko, actress Vinci Eloshius had accused the film setter of misrepresentation and using drugs.
Shine Tom Chacko became famous with the 2014 hit film ‘History’. They reached Ernakulam North Police Station on police summons. He was questioned by the team of Ernakulam Central Division. The incident took place on Wednesday night, when Shine Tom Chacko allegedly tried to leave the third floor room of the hotel by jumping on the lower floor to avoid the raids of the police. Although no intoxicating substance was recovered during the operation, his attempt to escape raised doubts and caught public attention.

As soon as the presence of the police was realized, Shine Tom Chacko jumped from the third floor window to the second floor and entered the swimming pool area of the hotel.
