PVR INOX stopped a case of 60 crores
A day earlier, Medock Films announced that the film will now be released directly on OTT. But not everyone agreed with this decision. India’s largest multiplex chain PVR Inox filed a case of Rs 60 crore against the production house, according to a report by the Bollywood Hungama, PVR Inox accused Medock of hiding the current tension as the real reason, which was a poor advance booking.
Allegations of taking decisions with bad intentions

The Bombay High Court, while giving interim relief to PVR Inox, stopped the film from releasing the film on any platform, including OTT, until the time of 8 -week theater holdback is dangerous. This is the standard for protecting the interests of exhibitors in the clause industry contracts. PVR Inox claims that the agreement signed on 6 May was violated with bad intentions, especially when the decision was taken just 24 hours before the theater release on 8 May.
The court has violated the agreement
The Bombay High Court has issued an interim order banning the OTT release of the film ‘Bhool Lack Maaf’. Not only this, Madock Films have also stopped the film from releasing the film on the OTT platform before the completion of the 8 -week theatrical window with PVR Iinox. The court admitted that the cancellation of the theater release was a violation of the agreement by citing security conscience and commercial reasons. The next hearing in this case will be held on 16 June.
