New Delhi : Despite being the son of a wonderful actor like Irrfan Khan, Babil Khan never admitted that his path in the film industry is easy. He recently openly said in an interview that he used to go to Bollywood parties earlier, but now he feels that no one gets work from those parties. According to him, audition is the place where an actor proves himself. He also told that till now he has met Karan Johar only once and that too for a while.
Babil says that his father’s name is very big, but there is no guarantee to get him work from him. He clearly says that he never said that he is not getting work. People often believe that Star Kids get opportunities without hard work, but Babil denies this. Their focus is not on complaining, but on learning and working hard. They believe that every actor has to make his own way, even if he is someone’s son.
Audition is a chance
Babil considers auditions not a challenge, but a chance. He says that every audition gives him a chance to enhance his acting. They enjoy this process, because it gives them to learn. He believes that the work done with hard work, dedication and honesty can recognize an actor, not glamor or parties.
I’m not a very good friend, so looks alone
In the interview given to Lallantop, when he was asked why there are not many friends in his industry, Babil responded very honestly. He said that he does not consider himself a good friend because he is unable to answer people on time. He says that during school time he used to be very good friends, because he used to keep similar to people. But now, when there is more race in life, it has become difficult to fulfill old relationships. For this reason, they live mostly alone nowadays and cannot connect with more people.
Babil’s attitude towards Bollywood parties is different from the rest. He says that he does not go there to ask for networking or work, but goes to meet people who can learn something. Like Karan Johar – from whom he wanted to know how he got herself a place in the industry, which often takes time to adopt different types of people. He said that his father Irfan Khan has also faced rejections and humiliation in this industry many times, because he did not do ‘fit-in’.
Meeting Karan, and still distance
Babil also told that he had met Karan Johar once, and he met very simplicity. He spoke on Babil’s film, hugging him. But Babil also said that Karan Johar is a very busy person, and he cannot pressurize him to focus again and again. Nevertheless, Babil intends to try again. Their purpose is not just to ask for work, but to understand how these people think, how they work and how to increase their career. He further said that Karan Johar Sir is very funny, I want to learn a lot from him.
It is clear from Babil Khan’s words that instead of wandering in the world of glamor, he is searching for his own way. They want to learn, want to work hard and use every opportunity to improve their art.
