New Delhi: A person who was once a beauty queen and became famous as Bollywood’s iconic heroine in the 70s and 80s. That heroine mesmerized the audience with many hit films. But his life story was something else behind this success. This included a lot of sorrows, troubles in relationships and big shocks on the mind. Most of all, the pain of hurting him to his mother kept him ate. That actress is none other than Zeenat Aman.
Zeenat Aman’s mother Vardhini Scindia (Verdini Scindia Sharvatter) is the backbone of her daughter’s success. After separating from her husband, screenwriter Amanullah Khan, Vardhini raised Zeenat alone. He worked hard to provide him good education. When Zeenat entered the film industry, Vardhini quit her job and became the daughter’s manager. He took care of Zeenat’s contract, financial matters and even guidance in acting. His passion made Zeenat one of the top stars of Bollywood. But, Vardhini never trusted the boys who came in Zeenat’s life, they felt that none of them is right for his daughter. Because of this, there was a long stress between them.
Everything was destroyed by secret wedding
In 1985, Zeenat secretly married actor Mazhar Khan in Singapore against his mother’s will. Hearing this news, his mother’s heart broke. Unfortunately, this marriage proved to be a wrong decision. Within a year, Zeenat realized that the relationship is not going well. When she was pregnant with her first child, she came to know from Stardust magazine that Mazhar was having an affair with someone else. Even after detection of deception, Zeenat remained in the relationship. He did this for the sake of the unborn child and later when Mazhar’s health deteriorated. For 5 years, she continued to serve the cheating husband. He worked like injections, changing medical bags and going to the hospital. Stress made him mentally upset. When Mazhar died in 1998, his family members did not allow him to attend the funeral and did not give him any share in the property. He had nothing left.
Before marrying Mazhar, Zeenat was in a relationship with actor Sanjay Khan, but that relationship was also over. In the year 1978, he brutally attacked him in a hotel, causing serious injuries to his eye. After years, when Vogarbhavati was, rumors spread that he is still in a relationship with Sanjay, but he never confirmed it. On the other hand, the allegations of Mazhar having a relationship with Dilip Kumar’s niece Rubina made Zeenat’s already disturbed life even more troubled. He later admitted that marrying Mazhar was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
The mountain of sorrows was broken again due to mother’s death
After secret wedding, Zeenat’s relationship with her mother could never be fully established. However, his first son was born on the same day on which his mother’s birthday was. Since then, both have started talking again. But, a few years later, in 1995, Vardhini died, and a mountain of sorrows was broken on Zeenat again. When his mother died, he later wrote that he felt as if his security shield had been removed.
