जेल में बिताए समय की ‘बिग बॉस’ से तुलना पर भड़के मुनव्वर फारूकी, फराह खान को दिया करारा जवाब- ‘ठेस पहुंचती है’

New Delhi: Farah Khan had a special conversation with Munawar Farooqui for his YouTube Vlog, but the comedians were disappointed when the filmmaker compared his time spent in jail to ‘Bigg Boss’. Munawar Farooqui, suddenly became uncomfortable with a question amid discussion with Farah Khan.

Farah Khan, while comparing Munawwar between jail and Bigg Boss, asked the question, ‘Was was it worse, jail or Bigg Boss?’ Munawar replied without hesitation, ‘You cannot even compare. This hurts it. Farah Khan was surprised by the comedian’s reply. He asked another question to lighten the atmosphere, ‘Where to meet more people who have more troubled people?’ On this, Munawwar took the name of ‘Bigg Boss’.

Munawar Farooqui was accused of hurting religious sentiments during a show in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in 2021. The comedian was then arrested after a complaint. According to the police statement, the complainant had heard Munawwar making a disputed jokes during the rehearsal, which he was going to speak on the stage. The complaint against the comedian was made by Eklavya Singh Gaur, son of BJP MLA Malini Laxman Singh, on the basis of which four people, including Munawvar, were arrested.

Announcement to leave standup comedy
The complainant had said that he had gone to the show as an audience, where he objected to Munawar’s statement, which led to the increase in the controversy. He also tried to stop the event. The comedian had to stay in jail for 37 days, but later he was released on bail by the Supreme Court. He announced on social media in November the same year that he has left the standup comedy.
