Ramanand Sagar’s son Prem Sagar said in an interview, ‘Ramayana could not be made if we do not go to Umargaon. The nature there made this serial and its characters alive. The actors working in the serials for almost two years lived in Umargaon. Another interesting thing is that most of the artists working in the Ramayana used to catch the train on the set of the serial. The reason for this was that most of the artists lived in Mumbai.
