New Delhi. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is one of those stars who traveled from TV to Bollywood and made themselves identity with her performance and were included in the list of superstars Hasina. He has completed 20 years in the film industry. Vidya made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with ‘Parineeta’. In these 20 years, he gave more than one film, which performed a great performance at the box office. This journey of Vidya Balan from TV to cinema was not easy at all. He made some important revelations about the initial journey of his career. He told how he felt pressure to ‘look young and sexy’ during photoshoots instead of films.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan spoke about the initial journey of her career in an interview to Filmfare. He said- ‘Parineeta was a game Changer for me. I had no film background and it was no less than a dream to get the start of that level. People started recognizing me overnight. Awards started getting, big directors started calling.

However, even after this success, Vidya had to face a different kind of pressure on her looks. He told, ‘During photoshoots, people say,’ Let’s try something new ‘. Listening to his words, I used to think, ‘What have you seen about me that you want to try something new?’ He used to say, ‘Let’s show you younger and sexy.’ And I was ready to experiment. In the beginning, I liked to explore all this, but after a time it became very tired.

Vidya further said, I was not a girl. I was 26 years old and was completely a woman. I used to find this’ pressure to ‘appear’, especially during the shoots … I could not understand at all during the shoots. Had never read film magazine, nor saw international glossies. Acting was always my focus.

Vidya Balan’s first film ‘Parineeta’ is being released again in theaters on its 20th year. PVR Inox announced on Wednesday that this romantic drama film will be re-immigrant for a week in selected theaters across the country from 29 August 2025.

Talking about the film ‘Parineeta’, Sanjay Dutt and Saif Ali Khan were seen in the film with Vidya Balan. This film was the biggest hit of the year, which earned three times more than its budget. The film was based on the Bengali novel by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. It was directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The story of the film is from Kolkata of the 1960s. In this, Vidya plays Lalita, who is an orphan girl and grew up in her maternal uncle’s house. His relationship with his childhood friend Shekhar (Saif Ali Khan) is full of complex. The film touches subjects like love, discrimination of society and self-esteem.
