Kailash Kher’s childhood went through the streets of Meerut, where music became the basis of life for him. His father Pandit Mejan Kher was a folk singer from whom Kailash got his early education. Classical music veterans like Pandit Kumar Gandharva, Bhimsen Joshi, Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Sufi Emperor Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan made Kailash their practice. But, before stepping into Mumbai’s Mayanagari, there were many turns in his life, which tried to break him.

Wanted to finish his life
One night he reached Rishikesh on the banks of river Ganges and thought of committing suicide. But, as he himself tells, he survived there, that one incident changed his life. Kailash described this incident as the turning point of his life and said that this incident gave him a big lesson in life.

In the year 2003, Kailash made her Bollywood debut with the song ‘Rabba Ishq Na Howe’ from the film ‘Andaz’, but the real identity came from Allah Ke Bande. His voice has a magical taste, which immerses the audience in the color as well as a melody color. Songs like ‘Teri Deewani’, ‘Chand recommendation’, ‘Syyaan’, ‘Bam Lahiri’, ‘Jai Jayakara’, ‘Daulat Shohrat’ and ‘Hey Ram’ get their singing iron.
Kailash made a band named ‘Kailasa’ in the year 2004 and released the first album of the band in the year 2006. After this, he took out a second album called ‘Jhoomo Re’. Then in the year 2009, his third album called ‘Chandan Mein’ was released. He received the Best Mail Playback Singer Award for the song ‘Allah Ke Bande’.

In the year 2009, Kailash married Sheetal and both have a son, which he has named Kabir Kher. He says that devotion and Sufiana style in his singing is the result of his spiritual beliefs. Music is prayer for me, prayer and I dedicate it to my God.
