Kota Srinivasa Rao was born in a small town in Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh. He died at the age of 83. Rao, who started his career with ‘Pranam Kharidu’ in 1978, acted in more than 750 films in many languages. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2015 for his contribution to Indian cinema. Hearing the news of Kota Srinivasa Rao’s death, many political leaders, film stars and close friends came to his residence to pay their last tributes. Others including Chiranjeevi and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Pawan Kalyan were seen comforting the family of the late actor.
