New Delhi. Rishabh Shetty’s film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is dominating the box office. The movie has been earning huge profits since day one. It’s been a week since its release and ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has been doing well and has earned huge sums in India so far. Now Rishabh Shetty’s Kannada film has made a new record in terms of collection. Know how much ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has earned so far at the domestic box office.

The audience is showering their love on the film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ and its impact is clearly visible at the box office as well. The amazing thing is that in just one week the movie has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark. According to the early report of trade website Sacnilk, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ earned a nett of Rs 25 crore in India on Wednesday i.e. the 7th day, taking its total domestic earning to Rs 316 crore.

Second highest grossing Kannada film

The film had an opening of Rs 61.45 crore on Thursday i.e. the first day and earned Rs 45.4 crore on Friday. The collection was Rs 55 crore on Saturday and Rs 63 crore on Sunday. After this, business of Rs 31.5 crore was done on Monday and Rs 34.25 crore on Tuesday. The amazing thing is that ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is doing double digit business since the first day and it has become the second highest grossing Kannada film, while Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is at the first position.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is a prequel to the 2022 blockbuster film ‘Kantara’. This movie was made at a cost of only Rs 16 crore and created history by earning more than Rs 400 crore worldwide. Both films have been written and directed by Rishabh Shetty. Rishabh Shetty has played the lead role in both the movies. Stars like Rukmini Vasant, Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah are seen in important roles in ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. It is being told that the film ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has been made at a cost of Rs 125 crore, which has long recovered its budget and is now earning profit.
