Regarding South’s superstar Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’, the Supreme Court has clearly said that people should come to see the film and not, it is a different matter, but the film should be released. The Supreme Court reacted strongly to the protests and petitions that are being released in Karnataka of Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’.

The court clarified that no mob can be empowered to affect the film release process by taking the law in its own hands. The Supreme Court said that it is the responsibility of the state government to maintain the rule of law.

The court also said that the film should be released, and the theater owners should not be afraid that there will be any violence or arson in their theater. The court insisted that it depends on the will of the people whether they will see the film or not, but the certified film from the censor board must be released.

The Supreme Court has also transferred the petition filed in the Karnataka High Court with it and directed the Karnataka government to reply by 18 June. The next hearing is scheduled on 19 June. At the same time, the court reprimanded the High Court for directing Kamal Haasan to ‘hurt the sentiments of the people of Karnataka. The Supreme Court said clearly, “It is not the job of the High Court to order a person to publicly apologize.”

On behalf of the filmmaker, it was told in the court that he is trying to find a solution by meeting with the Film Chambers of Association, so that the film can be released. The Supreme Court also expressed concern that Film producer Can not be obliged to compromise by putting pressure or threatening.
If a film has received certification from the censor board, then that film deserves release legally.
Advocate Navpreet Kaur in the case said, ‘The Supreme Court has ordered the state government to file his reply till tomorrow in view of the seriousness of the case. Also, the repeatation petition filed by the manufacturer in the High Court has also been directed to transfer to the Supreme Court. Now this case will be heard on Thursday.

He also said, ‘The Supreme Court made it clear that under the rules and law, when a film has been certified by the censor board, it cannot be banned due to such threats or pressure. Emphasizing the importance of the rule and law, the court said that quick hearing in this case is necessary, so it has been listed only after one day. Please tell that Kamal Haasan had commented on the language during the promotion of ‘Thug Life’. During an event in Chennai on May 28, he said that Kannada was born from Tamil.
