New Delhi: Javed Akhtar, a well-known lyricist and script writer of Indian cinema, has expressed his opinion on the anger prevailing among the people over the cruel killing of Raja Raghuvanshi and Saurabh Rajput. These murders were carried out by his wives Sonam Raghuvanshi and Muskan Rastogi. In an interview recently, Akhtar admitted that he got his mixed ideology about the national response to these matters.
Commenting on the selected sensitivity of the society, Akhtar pointed to a clear double standards. He asked, ‘These two women got their husbands killed and the society was shaken. Then there are women who are burnt alive every other day… they are beaten every day. Then society is not angry. He argued that violence by women is shocked and condemned, but silence is often kept on silence on continuous misbehavior by countless women across the country. ‘Talking about the crimes of men, the society is shameless’ Akhtar criticized hypocrisy and said that the society is shameless. According to him, when men have cruelty against women for generations, the anger has been limited or completely missing. He told NDTV, ‘Society is very shameless.’
Javed mentioned social pressure

The investigation revealed that she allegedly conspired with her lover Raj Kushwaha and rented three people for killing her husband only two weeks after her honeymoon. In another dreadful case, Muskan Rastogi is accused of killing her husband Saurabh Rajput in March with the help of her lover Sahil Shukla. Both of them had allegedly hidden her body in a drum filled with cement.
