During the shooting of the film, a scene was being prepared, in which Mithun was to run the car and bring it to Rishi Kapoor. Director Alexander Khanna asked Mithun, “Do you know driving a car?” Mithun knew that if he would not say, then perhaps his role could be cut. So he lied and called ‘yes’. At that time, he was only worried that this film would not get out of his hands.
Accident occurred in front of camera
As soon as the cameras rolled and the scene started, Mithun started the car and started moving towards Rishi Kapoor. They had to stop the car at the right place so that the sage could easily sit in it. But the car was not under control. There was no brake on time and the car hit Rishi Kapoor directly.
