आमिर खान की फिल्म ‘सितारे ज़मीन पर’ थिएटर में ही होगी रिलीज.
New Delhi. Aamir Khan is busy promoting his upcoming film Stars Zameen Par these days. Mr. Perfectionist is going to return to the screen from the ground after a long time. Recently, while talking with News18 Shosha, the actor said that his upcoming film will be released in theater itself and is not going to be released on any OTT very soon.
Aamir told why films not going on in theater
Aamir made a fun comparison and said, ‘I do not know any business where you sell the product, and if no one bought it, you say – no problem, I will send it to your house for free in eight weeks!’. He told that due to this thinking, many films are no longer able to run in the theater.
Theater weakened due to OTT
He said that nowadays films are either very super hit or completely flops. He described it as an atmosphere of “famine and feast”. According to him, the theater’s culture has weakened due to early release on OTT, and hence he has decided that ‘Stars land on’ will be released only in theaters.
“I trust my audience and theater,” Aamir said. “If the film is good, then people will definitely come to see.” When he was mentioned in ‘Lal Singh Chadha’, which did not work much in the theater but people liked the OTT, Aamir said, “If someone did not like the film in the theater, he will not like it at home. Changing the place does not change the opinion.”
Let me tell you, ‘Stars Zameen Par’ is a sports comedy drama which is R.S. Prasanna has directed and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. In this, Genelia Deshmukh along with Aamir Khan is also in the lead role. The film is a remake of the Spanish film ‘Champions’ and is considered to be the spiritual sequel to Aamir’s 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par. Many new faces like Aarush Dutta, Vedanta Sharma, Simran Mangeshkar and other actors are making their debut in Hindi cinema with this film.
