‘Bhuvan’ of ‘Lagaan’ i.e. actor Akhilendra Mishra revealed that the team was provided food from different parts of the world and was strictly asked to drink only mineral water. In fact, they were also asked to wash their hair with mineral water. Akhilendra Mishra, who played the role of Arjan in ‘Lagaan’, said that the production team of the film took a lot of care. In an interview with ‘Friday Talkies’, he said that all kinds of food was available on the set, and foreign artists also preferred to eat Indian food, even though there was a separate concental menu for him. Production management was very good. The success of the film was not possible without it. They had all kinds of food, whatever food you want, whatever juice you want, everything was available. Foreign artists were also eating Indian food. There was a big contranantal food setup for him, but they all used to come in the Indian section.

He further said that the arrangements were so good, as if they were of international level. As soon as we woke up in the morning and get out of our buses, they used to set all kinds of breakfast. You could eat as much as you want and drink as much as you want, no one stopped.
