New Delhi. Indian cinema is celebrated every year at the Filmfare Awards. Along with Best Actor, Best Director and Best Films, all the talented people working behind the scenes are honored. This trend has been going on for more than 6 decades.

At the forefront of this list is Dilip Kumar, who has won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor 8 times in his career. Dilip Kumar received his first Filmfare Award for the film ‘Daag’ released in 1952.

After this, he received this honor for prestigious films like ‘Devdas’ (1955), ‘Naya Daur’ (1957), ‘Kohinoor’ (1960), ‘Ram Aur Shyam’ (1967) and ‘Shakti’ (1982).

Bollywood’s King Khan i.e. Shahrukh Khan is second in this list, who has also won the Filmfare Best Actor Award eight times.

Shahrukh Khan was seen in films like ‘Baazigar’ (1993), ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995), ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ (1997), ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998), ‘Devdas’ (2002), ‘Swadesh’ (2004), ‘Chak De! Has received Filmfare Best Actor Award for films like ‘India’ (2007) and ‘My Name is Khan’ (2010).

Amitabh Bachchan has also been honored with this award for prestigious films like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Don’, ‘Hum’ and ‘Paa’. Apart from this, in the year 1991, he was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.

The names of Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor are also included among those who won the Filmfare Best Actor. Both the stars have won this award four times each.

Veteran actors like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar and Anil Kapoor have received this honor twice each, which is proof that Filmfare has honored talent for decades.
