अमिताभ बच्चन को जब कास्ट करने पहुंचा प्रोड्यूसर, नहीं थी स्क्रिप्ट तो थमा दी फिल्म की CD, हैरान रह गए थे BIG B
New Delhi. Amitabh Bachchan is called the great hero of Bollywood. He has surprised his fans by playing many different characters. Many years ago, Big B was offered a remake of a Hollywood film, but the interesting thing was that the script was not ready. Amitabh Bachchan was given a CD of a Hollywood film directly and it was said that if he became a part of this film, it will be made in Indian style. Big B was also surprised to hear this.
Amitabh Bachchan was given CD
Bunty Walia told, ‘I talked to Amitabh Sir’s secretary Sheetalji and then the meeting was fixed between us. When I went to meet him, he asked for a script from me. I said that we have no script right now and I handed him the CD of Man on Fire film. I said that we will do the Indian version of it and then make a film.
The script of the film was not ready
The producer further said that Amitabh was a bit confused with this idea and he asked- what should I do? His secretary Sheetal ji was not impressed at all. I still remember today that Sheetal ji saw me as I am stupid. We had neither a script, nor the shooting schedule and we were trying to sign Amitabh sir. He gave us dates after several months and clearly said that now it is our responsibility to celebrate Amitabh sir for this film.
Questions were arising in Big B’s mind
After borrowing money from his father and talking to Amitabh, Bunty Walia managed to sign him for the film. However, Big B had some doubts about playing the role of action hero in his mind. Bunty Walia told an anecdote during the shooting in Bangkok how Amitabh was eager to know why he signed him.
Big B asked the reason for signing
He said, ‘We had some free time, then Amitabh sir asked me- why did you guys sign me? I am an old man. I smiled a slight smile and said that if you consider yourself old, then many people of the industry should retire now.
Amitabh Bachchan reached strip club
Earlier, Apoorva Lakhia had told in an interview to Friday Talkies that he had a very interesting experience with Amitabh Bachchan during the shooting of ‘Ek Stranger’. The director told a funny anecdote that when he was walking in Bangkok after shooting one day, Big B accidentally reached a strip club. Apoorva said, ‘I told him that Sir, this is Patpong, there are live shows here. If I took you here, there will be riots. He said that no, we will walk. So I said okay, let’s go. Big B used to make some new plans every day after the shooting was over.
The film was released in the year 2005
