According to reports, Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave Ajay Devgan an important role in the film Padmavat, Shahid Kapoor played the role of Maharwal Ratan Singh in the film, which was earlier offered to Ajay Devgan, but he refused to be part of it due to a conflict with films like Golmaal Again and Red. However, it has also been said that Ajay did not like this character, due to which he refused to work in Padmavat.
The collection was done for more than 571 crores
Padmavat’s budget was Rs 215 crore. It earned Rs 19 crore at the Indian box office on its first day. On the second day, it earned Rs 32 crore. It earned Rs 27 crore on the third day. The film, which earned about Rs 80 crore in its first three days, deposited a total of Rs 302.15 crore in India and was a blockbuster by earning Rs 571 crore on worldwide.
Controversy related to Padmavat
Padmavat faced many controversies during his construction. Many Rajput caste groups like Shri Rajput Karni Sena and its supporters protested and later damaged the film’s set, saying that the film depicted Rajput Rani Padmavati negatively. He also attacked Bhansali on the set of the film. The army also issued additional threats of violence. During the shooting of a scene at the Masai Plateau of Kolhapur at night in October 2017, a group of people attacked the set and set fire, damaged animals and ruined several dresses. During the shooting of this film, Bhansali and Deepika Padukone received threats to kill violence and life many times.
