New Delhi. The film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’, directed by JK Bihari, was released in the year 1998. As soon as it was released, the film was engulfed in theaters. People liked this film very much. Even though this film was Salman Khan’s first Bollywood film, he never considered this film to be his first film.
Salman has always said that ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ is his debut film. Now you must be wondering why? According to media reports, he was seen in the role of a co-star in this film and secondly he did not work with heart in this film. Once he also said that he was celebrating that his film should flop.
But, Salman got this film when he was roaming around for work. Actually, JK Bihari told in a special conversation with Siddharth Kannan that he used to see Salman always coming and going and gave him work in his film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ without any audition, in which he played the younger brother of the lead actor Farooq Sheikh.
JK Bihari also told that if he had known that he is the son of Salim Javed, he would never take Salman Khan in his film. However, he also explained the reason behind this. He told that if I had first known that Salman is Salim’s son, then I never give him such a role.
Salim Javed was such a big writer and how would I give such a small role to his son. Salman also never told him that he is the son of Salim Khan. Let me tell you, Rekha was seen in the role of lead actress along with Farooq Sheikh in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’.
Bindu was also in an important role in the film. At the same time, music in the film was given by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Along with Salman Khan, Renu Arya made her debut in films with this film. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, JK Bihari also told that he was illiterate and the journey to become a director was not easy for him.
He told that he used to wash utensils in hotels in Mumbai and then once he got a chance to work in the canteen of Kamal Amrohi’s studio. Then while working there, he became the manager of the canteen, where the people of the veteran film director used to come to eat there.
Then on seeing this, he met Asif of his meeting and he started working with him in direction and gradually he started getting friends with the people associated with the film.
