Mannara Chopra cremated her father.
Mumbai. Parineeti Chopra finally broke the silence and explained why she did not attend the funeral of her cousin Mannara Chopra’s father. Parineeti shared a picture of a lake in London, UK on Instagram on the morning of 19 June. Mannara’s father was cremated in Delhi on 18 June. Since Parineeti often comes to Delhi due to Raghav Chadha’s Parliament sessions, many people noted her uncle’s absence in her funeral.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas also did not attend the funeral of Mannara Chopra’s father. She lives in America, although she shared a photo on Instagram stories and wrote, “You will always be in our hearts. Relax, Raman Uncle (Fufaji). Om Shanti.” Parineeti has not yet given any reaction to her uncle’s death.
Mannara Chopra earlier shared an official statement on her father’s death, “With deep grief and mourning, we give tragic information of our beloved father’s death, who left us on 16/06/2025. He was a pillar of our family’s strength.” Raman Handa was a lawyer in the Delhi High Court. He is survived by his wife, Kamini and daughters Mannara and Mithali.
